The tank and sides have been re-sprayed and the stickers re-fitted with a clear lacquer coat over the top to prevent petrol damage to the stickers. (I am using a higher resolution on my camera for this picture so it will be larger than normal)

I have ordered the new exhaust system and some other parts including new points and condenser and a clutch cover gasket, they should be arriving from the UK any day now.

Well the weekend has come and almost gone, its Sunday afternoon and as you can see there has been little progress in this workshop. I really expected the parts to arrive from the UK well before the weekend but all I got was a phone call from a delivery company asking for my home address, It seems the exhaust system had to go through customs and then they say that they will not deliver to my Post Office Box, hmm go figure that one out.

Well the good news is that the chrome bits were ready on Friday and as you can see on the picture I have fitted the petrol cap as well as the gear pedal assembly (which you can't see) I also have assembled the re-chromed front wheel and dropped it off at the shop for a new tyre and balance.

  At last the exhaust system arrives, hmm big box, looks like something out of that computer game Tetrus

Remember how I said earlier that it was about the same price to get a new exhaust system as it was to re-chrome the old one, well I was wrong, This little sucker set me back about 825 Dollars Australian by the time I paid shipment, customs and GST. It better be the right one they sent me.

And the bike shop rings me to say that the front wheel is ready, this is defanetly my lucky day
