2001 VJMC Annual Rally Australia.
The Road Trip
Its Friday around lunchtime and I am preparing for the drive to Myuna Bay, that means all the gear has to come out of the van so that I can get the bike and camping equipment in. I was amazing how much stuff came out of the van.
It is now about 4:30 in the afternoon and the van is packed and ready, I had to give my Honda a good wash and polish because I have been riding the bike around quite a bit these last few weeks so she needed a thorough detailing including all the chrome and aluminum, It wasn't long before I could get that freshly restored look back again. Dan arrives just in time so we load his gear into the van and he gives me a helping hand to get the bike in the van.
The bike is loaded carefully into the van and strapped down securely, the gear is now loaded and checked off the list so all we have to do is wait for the rest of the crew.
George arrives straight from work and helps himself to a beer as we wait for Peter who turns up soon after, no time to waste as it is nearing 6:00 and we have a long drive ahead of us. Dan brings out a spare two way radio and with a helping hand from Peter the communications are up and running.
